Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Whitstable 10K Road Race, a uniquely popular running race held on the north Kent coast each May.

The 2019 race will be held at 10am on the 6th May Bank Holiday Monday at The Waterfront Club. Please note that the start is an hour earlier than in previous years.

The course starts from Tankerton Slopes and goes out to Hampton Pier at Herne Bay. The terrain is mainly flat, with the second half of the race being along the promenade by the beach huts, and the course should produce some fast running times.

Canterbury Harriers will be organising this race for the twentieth year in 2019 and hope that it will be an enjoyable event for all.

The race this year has Shepherd Neame Whitstable Bay Pale Ale as the main sponsor. We would like to thank The Waterfront Club for letting us use their facilities as the race headquarters.

Following a phenomenal take up of entries, the race limit of 750 for 2019 has already been reached on 2nd January. We are sorry but we cannot accept any more entries.

There will NOT be any entries on the day but please indicate any transfers of numbers to us by 6pm on 29th April.

Numbers and timing chips will be given out on race day rather than sent through the post. We will email registered competitors with final instructions before race day.

Results for the 2018 race (and previous years) are available on this site.

A pound from each entry goes to the Demelza House Hospice Care for Children charity.

The race director for the Whitstable 10K can be emailed at enquiries@whitstable10k.org.uk. Please only email with queries or comments about the race if your answer cannot be found on this website. Please especially refer to the race terms and conditions.
