Click here for a map of the area (with the position of the race HQ, The Waterfront Club, indicated).

Parking is very limited in Whitstable on the Bank Holiday Monday. For clubs able to hire a coach, Whitstable Coach Park will be available. Wherever possible please car share or use public transport. However, there is no park and ride scheme operating.

By Bus:
Stagecoach East Kent operate services 4B (going clockwise from Canterbury to Whitstable, Herne Bay and then back to Canterbury) and 6B (the anti-clockwise route) that pass close to the Waterfront Club, with a bus stop at Tower Parade. On the Bank Holiday Monday a Sunday service should be in operation and bus times can be found by calling 08702 433711.
By Car (please note well the instructions for parking below):
Getting to the venue by car is relatively easy by taking the M2/A2 and the A299 (Thanet Way) to get to Whitstable and then following the B2055 through the town. The race HQ, the Waterfront Club, is on the eastern end of Whitstable, near Tankerton, on Beach Walk (see map).

Race HQ/Parking:
The assembly and Race HQ is at the Waterfront Club, Beach Walk, off Tower Parade, Whitstable CT5 2BP. Beach Walk will have a road closure from early in the morning and so please do not attempt to drive into this area.

Parking in the Town is extremely limited (and costly). The Gorrell Tank car park (pay and display), the nearest public car park to the race HQ, should be open on race day. Please note, however, that the Westmeads Recreation Ground will not be available for car parking on race day.

By Train:
Whitstable train station is to the south of the race HQ and is about 10 minutes walk away. Trains between London Victoria and Thanet pass through the station. Call 08457 48 49 50 for train information or see the Network Rail website. Please note, for those coming from the London direction, there are engineering works in the Medway area on the day of the race and so there will be a bus replacement for part of the journey.
