Whitstable 10K - Terms and Conditions

You should be aware of the following terms and conditions and that entering the race confirms your acceptance of them.

Race Day Entries

Please note that there is a race limit of 750 entrants and once this number has been reached, race entries are closed. We are unable to accept race day entries – all entrants must enter no later than TWO WEEKS prior to date of the race.

Transfer of entry to third party

Transfers of entries will be permitted provided that you contact us at enquiries@whitstable10k.org.uk no later than SEVEN days before the race. Please ensure the person you are transferring the entry to is eligible to participate in the race. Please note that race places cannot be deferred to the following or subsequent years.

Refund of Entries

We cannot refund race entry fees for any reason in the event that entrants are unable to participate in the race.

Headphones and personal music players

For safety reasons, personal music players or other devices that use headphones or earphones (including bone induction devices) are NOT permitted during the race. Marshals are instructed to enforce this rule, and we will disqualify entrants who do not abide by these rules. Please note that disqualified runners are not eligible for prizes or mementoes.

Race Cancelled due to Safety Reasons

If the race is cancelled by the event organisers on the grounds of safety, we will endeavour to contact you via your registered email address. Please check the race website and social media for up-to-date information.

Race Time Limits

Roads are closed until two hours after the start of the race and so for health and safety reasons, we expect all runners to complete the race before the end of the temporary road closure order is suspended. We reserve the right to withdraw any competitor who falls behind the pace to complete the race within two hours.

Disabled Athletes

We welcome any athlete with a disability wishing to take part in the race. However, due to a restriction in width at one point on the course for which there is no diversion available, we are unable to allow wheelchairs in the race. Athletes with a disability and requiring assistance must contact the race director a minimum of SEVEN days in advance of the race indicating the nature of their disability and any special requirements or needs they may have on the day. We will endeavour to do our very best to meet those needs.

Privacy and Data Policy

You agree by entering the race that we may publish your Personal Information as part of the results of the Event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times, occupation and age category.
